Each year the Southside Chapter awards a scholarship which will be paid to a post secondary institution to be credited against a student's tuition, fees, and/or books. This scholarship is available to outstanding students, either incoming or current, who are pursuing the study of Administrative Systems Technology or a business-related program. Applicants from Franklin, Suffolk, Smithfield, and the surrounding counties in the Paul D. Camp Community College (PDCCC) service region will be accepted. Selection is made by the Southside Chapter.

Criteria:

bulletResident of Franklin, Suffolk, Smithfield or the surrounding counties in Paul D. Camp Community College service region
bullet2.5 GPA
bulletCollege transcript or high school transcript or GED scores (must be attached to application)
bulletEnrollment in a certificate or degree program at Paul D. Camp Community College in Administrative Support Technology or a business-related program for the upcoming fall semester (PDCCC transcript must be attached)
bulletEnrollment in at least 6 credit hours for the upcoming fall semester (PDCCC transcript must be attached)
bulletTwo letters of recommendation from someone other than a relative of the applicant (must be attached to the application)
bulletEssay explaining how this award would be benefit applicant (should include reasons for decision to continue/advance  education and future plans)
bulletFunds to be paid directly to Paul D. Camp Community College for tuition, fees, and/or books
 

 

Jeremiah Crane is the recipient of the Southside Chapter's 2009 Scholarship. He has been attending Paul D. Camp Community College since the spring of 2008. His program of study is business administration. Congratulations, Jeremiah!
